On the juice!

Yesterday, Michele, Nancy, and I went to visit an immune system nutritionist who helped us fine tune Michele’s cancer fighting diet.

The doctor will also be analyzing Michele’s blood to determine her body’s nutritional balance and organ functionality. This way, we can keep everything strong, active, and healthy to allow all her body’s energy, and eventually the chemotherapy, to fight the cancer cells!

Doctor Meymard reminded my mom that she is 98% healthy and it’s time to fight off that remaining 2%. 

Because the pancreas and liver play important roles in the digestive system, we have to be easy on them while getting Michele all the nutrients she needs. Our diet and training regiment includes:

1) 2 avocados a day (getting there!)

2) Chlorella – the superfood tablet!

3) 1 Juice a day (4-8 ozs):

  • 1 cucumber
  • 4 carrots
  • 1/2 a beet
  • kale
  • collard greens
  • Love

4) And we are staying away from:

  • processed food
  • anything with more than 5g of sugar per serving
  • fruit (glucose) – a squeeze of lemon or lime is fine
  • alcohol
  • milk – except hard cheeses and some eggs for protein

5) Meditation twice a day, morning and evening.

 

For anyone interested, we are looking into recipes with organic asparagus, broccoli, avocados, quinoa, beets, fish, eggs, and other similar goodies!
